We’d recommend having a chat to your County/Area DofE Adviser to find out about how DofE is organised and supported in your County/Area. If you’re in Scotland or Northern Ireland, speak to your Country Office for support.
The DofE has training to support you. First, complete the ‘E-introduction training course’ – an online training module. Then, it’s highly recommended that you book onto an ‘Introduction to the DofE’ course, which should give you all the information you need to be a DofE Leader. Find out information about these courses and other training available to support you on the Training section of the DofE website. If you’re going to be an Expedition Supervisor, there is an ‘Expedition Supervisor Training Course’ available to support you.
In England and Wales, the DofE Training Scout Active Support Unit delivers training for leaders, assessors and supervisors.
DofE also produce a ‘Handbook for DofE Leaders’ which is available through ‘DofE Essentials’ via eDofE, or as part of attending the ‘Introduction to the DofE’ course.
